Having an issue seeing if its worth changing/upgrading the tires on the Revel in an effort to reduce weight. I dont have any issues with the tires as of right now, but was researching tire weights.

The Kenda SB8 come in different weights ranging from 520 to 864 grams. Im only interested in changing them if they weigh the latter, itll save me roughly 1lb per tire.

I have searched for the part # on the tire and simply cannot find it.

Any input is greatly appreciated. :D

Turns out I was mistaken, the tires on the Revel are a Kenda made tire for Giant, and share similar numbers to Kenda's.

Which I cannot find specs on and only the following description.

Ride with piece of mind with Giant's FlatGuard Trail tire. This large volume knobby gives you extra puncture resistance in the form of an aramid belt between the tread and the casing. The all-conditions tread hooks up in most conditions and rolls fast on smooth surfaces.
I imagine they are a non-folding tire, and weigh a bit more than the SB8.
