Ghetto tubeless car spacesaver tyre hack..

Had some problems getting one of my tyres to inflate. Tried all the usual tricks but no joy.

Then tried full size spare wheel of my BMW which was at about 27psi but lots of volume, cut tube off old foot pump leaving the schrader end bit on. Cut end is a good tight fit over presta valve with core removed - NO DICE!!

Then found one of those spacesaver wheels in my mums nissan, says inflate to 60psi on it. Tried it at 40-50 psi, no joy. Eventually tried it at 60psi and up she went. Once seated I carefully let it down, replaced valve core and reinflated with track pump.

Was even looking at compressors on ebay. Bit safer than the 2-3L pop bottle method too.
Never knew spacesaver tyres ran that sort of pressure!
