    factory wheel replacement

I have a 2013 Giant Revel 1 29er with Giant Alloy Double Wall Rims, Giant Sport 29x2.1 tires, and Formula Disc 32h hubs. I am in the process of shaving weight where I can and have heard the two main culprits, other than the frame, are the wheels/tires and cranks. Problem is I can't find a weight anywhere for the wheel/tire components so I have no basis for weight comparison. I have seen cheaper 29er wheelsets from SRAM and Alex etc. on Ebay for $130+ but I don't know what will be benenficial.

    What do I do?

Take your wheels off, remove the tyres, tubes, cassette, dics rotors and weigh them. Otherwise, search the internet for the individual component weights and try to estimate your wheelset weight from that.
