    EC70 29 Thoughts

I know these wheels are new but I was wondering if anyone had ridden a pair yet.

I have the chance to buy a set during black friday and I was wondering if they were worth it.

    Thanks

After several years of patience, I've come to learn that Easton hubs are simply too unreliable no matter how nice their rims are. Certainly not worth the money for their carbon models.

This wheelSee has the same hubs as the ea90s if that matters.

I was in the market for a 29er wheelset and cam across the EC70's as well. IMO, For aggressive XC the rims are too narrow and though many may say 24 spokes are OK I didn't care for my Havoc's in 26er's - too hard to keep true. From a value point Flow's on Stan's hubs are pretty good when they are on sale.

They are wider than enve xc which would be my first choice and since its going on a xc bike I actually thought this width would be good. I know there are deals out there but I want carbon wheels and I guess specifically I was curious if anyone has actually ridden these.

Its an easton wheel, and everything wheel related that easton makes has a horrible track record. Considering all the info out there, im always a little surprised when someone still buys them.
