    Easton EA70 XC 29er wheels...tubeless ready?

I am trying to help one of my riding buddies out. He has a Kona with this wheelset and the shop he bought it from set them up tubeless. One of them lost air and he ask me to see why it wasn't holding air. Upon further inspection, I noted that it only had Stan's yellow tape installed. I don't think these are tubeless ready and I think he needs either a Stan's rim strip or needs to set it up ghetto (split tube or Gorilla tape). The tire is so loose I just can't believe they can work without the above. What say you? Are these tubeless ready or not?

Anyone have experience with Easton EA70 XC wheels?

I just set them up with split tube. I'll take it out tomorrow and report back on the other thread. Aired up easily and instantly holding with Maxxis Aspens.
