    DT Swiss X430 Tubeless Conversion

I just purchased my Stan's conversion kit and spent all weekend trying to get a Maxis Crossmark to take in any air what so ever. The beads are not even phased by the air compressor. Out of frustraion I tried to mount a Karma which yielded the same result. I have followed all instructions. Does anyone have any luck with converting these rims to tubless? I am about ready to throw in the towel on this one

Try removing the valve core for more air flow

Mount tire with a tube and leave it one for a few days to get some shape into it (mounting a new folded tire can be a PITA). Use lots of soap on the beads when mounting, if they fit real loose you might try putting a layer of Velox under the rim strip to make the fit tighter.

Actually the tire fits to tight. So tight in fact that I broke a tire lever trying to get the tire off. And that is with the original rim tape removed and then with only layer of Stan's rim tape.
