    DT Swiss 240S hubs

Does anyone know the significance of a black logo 240s hub? It also is bare aluminum where the spokes fit. I thought all 240's had a red logo. I wish I knew how to post a picture of it here. The step by step instructions are clear as mud (imo)
    Thanks

It's a 'system wheel' -- meaning they never sold the hub looking like that aftermarket, only as a prebuilt complete wheel package.

Whomever the vendor was that bought it (Could be Cannondale, Giant, Special__ed, etc...) wanted it to look like that, and likely had to order a few thousand of them to get it.

The 240 hubs in DT's own XRC and XMC 1200 wheels has the same color/logo.

Oh yes, I like the "system" type hubs. I found some E1700 350 level boost hubs and built them on carbon rims. They look way sexier than the standard 350.
