    DT Swiss 240 / Hugi 240 -- 20 mm?

In the history of these hubs...what models ever came in 20mm (front, obviously) options?

Not sure exactly what you're asking, but the current 240s hubs are available in a 20mm. That's what I am using on my R.I.P. 9.

Didn't they make a non-s 240 a few years ago? And back when it was the Hugi 240, did either of these come 20mm?

Ah OK, gotcha! That, I'm not sure of off the top of my head. I took a look on BikePedia, and I didn't see one listed. However, that site's not always the be-all, end-all of info though...

Can the 2005 Magura Pro disc hub(DT 240) front run a 15 or 20mm thru-axle, with newer 240s end caps?

The larger 240s oversize can be 20MM the rest of the 240 line cannot be ,they can be 9mm quick release,9mm thru axle or 15mm thru axle.

You just need end caps. Any shop can order them. DT has a US based service center but I am not sure if they will sell direct or not.

Considering that 15mm forks and hubs did not exist until late 2008, no, your hub was not designed to be converted to 15mm TA.

There is a kit you can find on ebay and youtube that will convert a standard 240s into 15mm. Not 20 though.
