Does Michelin still make the Wildgripper Sprint tires??

I had these on my 98 GF Aquila when I sold it.

Now that I am getting back into the sport, I can't seem to find them. I want to swap out the tires that are on my new 4900 since I will be on pavement and dry/fast trails for the most part.

These are/were the green semi slicks that are great for pavement and dry trails.

Anyone buy any recently? If so where did you find them? Seems like the pair I had were folding, not wire bead.

Can't seem to find them on their site. I wonder if they discontinued them.

Anyone recommend a low price semi slick just to knock around town on?

    Let me know.

    Thanks!

    Answering my own question here.....

Looks like they dropped the "Wildgripper" name and are just calling them "Sprint2" now. Also changed the color to Black

I thought the green color on these were pretty cool.

Now hopefully my LBS will order me some.

The folding bead Sprint was replaced by the Jet. The Sprint 2 wire bead/black tread is still available (look under "Comfort" on their web site).

The trouble with common sense is it is no longer common
