    Deep V's for Cross

Has anyone ran a Velocity Deep V for their cross/commuter bike? I have a set of IRC Mythos Cross Tires (42c) and was wanting to build up a nice looking wheelset for my Bianchi SISS and the DeepV's sounded nice. Would this work? Or are the rims too narrow? Should I get narrower tires? Any help would be great. Thanks, Preston

deep Vs are not very friendly with wide tires.
they will be a pain to mount, and roll off when cornering hard.
if you still want that deep look, go velocity chukkers; they're wider.

I have Deep V's for cross. No problems. 35c's are not "wide" and they most certainly don't roll off. Chukkers would work too, they're just heavy though. Deep V's are heavy too, but chukkers are far heavier.
