I just got a Atomlab pimplite single speed rear wheel for my DJ bike. I would say the wheel works great aside from the fact that it is pretty much useless with horizontal dropouts. No matter how tight I torque it down it slips forward on the drive side.
And to make matter worse, all the surfaces that come in contact with the frame are smooth. The bolts that bolt the hut down to the frame are have a really bizzare thread pitch that is beyond the 1.25 fine thread pitch on most 10mm bolts.
At this point I have no idea how to get it to stay put. The hardware it came with is definitely the weak link on this wheel.
Anyone got any ideas? Chain Tugs are not going to be an option as the bolts are to large. What was Atomlab thinking? They made a single speed wheel that won't work with single speed frames WTF!?
