    Ardent 26X2.25 ust question

Hi-I just put an ignitor 2.35 ust on my 819 rim and it's a joke. It's closer to a 1.9 than a 2.35. Does anyone know if the 2.25 ust ardent is similarly skinny? Maybe I should try a Hans dampf as that looks like a true 2.35? TIA.

The Ignitor 26x2.35 is an older tire model, and it is a bit undersized. The Ardent, however, is a newer model, and is very close to a true 2.25 inches wide. On your 819 rims, the Ardent should measure roughly 2.22 inches across the widest knobs.

Like bholwell says, the 2.25 Ardent is a pretty good sized tire. Nice volume. Tough sidewalls. Fast rolling. I've been running one on the rear for a couple years now it holds up well too.

The Han Dampf 2.35 is bigger (almost bigger than a 2.5 minion DHF), slower rolling, has tough sidewalls, and wears much quicker.

    A 2.25 Ardent is higher volume than a 2.35 HR1.

To my knowledge Maxxis does not make a UST Ardent. Am I missing something?

edit: Just looked, according to Maxxis' website they do offer UST Ardents.

Yes, the UST Ardent 2.25 has a 54mm wide casing, while the High Roller 2.35 has a 52mm wide casing. The knobs on the High Roller are taller and more aggresive, though.

And yes, we offer a UST Ardent 26x2.25 and 29x2.25.
