Apen 2.0 Front and Maxxlite 310 Rear: Good Combo?

Hi, has anybody tried the Apen 2.0 Front and Maxxlite 310 Rear combo? I have a pair of Maxxlites and would like to get an Aspen for the front and keep the maxxlite for the rear to be used for XC racing. I wonder how the setup would fair out if I were to use race them in the usual So Cal conditions like Bonelli, Fontana, Big Bear, Rim Nordic, etc.. Thanks in advance

It's quite common to use a beefier / more aggressive tire on the front.
This combo seems a little too extreme. but it will work well for sure.
Just choose the proper size Aspen so that the difference in casing size is not excessive.

Yes, I was thinking of installing the 2.0 Aspen in the front because the Maxxlite 310 that I have for the rear is 1.9. Have you tried the Aspen in the front? How did it fair out? I've read about it on the 29er forum but need to know how it fairs out for the 26er front. Thanks for your input.
