Anyone seen a new Fast Trak Control for 2012?

Guy at my LBS that went to one of the big bike shows recently said that Spec was unveiling a new tread pattern Fast Trak, a Control model maybe, that would have bigger, more aggressive shoulder tread so that it had better grip in loose corners but maintained a good fast rolling center. Similar to a Captain Control with less rolling resistance.
He pulled up a pic of it on the dealer only page that had some 2012 stuff on it last time I was at the shop and it looks nice.

I've been riding captain controls on they work well for where I ride but I've longed for something lighter with a little less rolling resistance.

Anyone know anything else about it other than what I've posted?

Specialized actually designed a new tire in the Fast Track Control. The center knobs are off set a bit and the outside knobs are a bit taller. They are going to continue with the older Fast Tracks as well.

Supposed to have less rolling resistance and more traction. They are using a new rubber called FE Analysis. Supposed to be a lot like the rubber used in Moto GP.

    Available in 26 and 29'er

Nice, if the weights are down from the Cap'n Controls I'm running now I'll be compelled to try a pair, if I do I'll write them up for everybody.

Could this be them? THis is Jaroslav Kulhavy's 2012 29er Epic ready for this weekend's WC. http://a.yfrog.com/img619/8823/68397236.jpg

That tread reminds me of the Maxxis Aspen.

My dealer is supposed to be holding one for me when they get them. I've used the current fast trak as a rear tire with a captain front. I found that the side knobs didn't hold well for me but it rolls fast. The size and spacing of the side knobs of the new one look promising.

Picked up the tire yesterday, 29x2.2. Its 605g on my scale, 45g under the claimed weight. Nice. No ride yet, waiting for a new rear wheel its going on. Inside of the tire looks nicely sealed, like the captain controls. Looks like it should seal up on a stans rim nice and easy.
