Anyone have the new tubeless ready High Roller II ?

I'm considering it for my new rear tire. I'll mount it on a Flow rim w/ sealant.

The TR version is 26X2.3 and 840g.

It's available with or without the 3C Maxx Terra option.
I'm guessing the 3C Maxx Terra compound would wear faster ?

I'm 200lbs and riding roots and rocks on a SC Nomad.

    Rear tires I've tried :
Hans Dampf - Great. But ... the knobs were destroyed quickly in the rocks.
Conti X-king - Rolls fast. But ... the sidewall wasn't pliable enough. The bead tore away from the sidewall.

So the High Roller II next? Suggestions?

( I have the standard EXO Ardent 2.4" up front setup tubeless)

    thanks

I think you'll like it. It'll definitely last longer than the Hans Dampf, and it's in a different league than the X-King.

You're also correct about the compounds available: the 'Dual' compound version is closest to a 60a, and will last longer and have a little less rolling resistance. The 3C MaxxTerra is softer, and will wear faster.

Another tire to consider is the Minion DHR II 26x2.3. Minion DHR II

Or if you prefer more speed at the expense of some traction, the Ikon 26x2.35 Exo is another option. I've really been enjoying this tire on the rear of my Banshee Prime.

Thanks. I tried the 29" IKON tubeless on my Banshee Paradox. I loved the way it rolled but the sidewalls were not thick enough for my weight and terrain.

I think I'll order the High Roller II ... just concerned about it's rolling resistance.

Maybe put the HR2 up front and move the Ardent to the back since it's supposed to be a better rolling tire?

Was your previous Ikon an EXO model or standard? The EXO sidewall adds a good bit of support for larger riders

I'm running the DHR2 2.3 TR in the rear and loving it. I did notice my friend wore a High Roller 2 2.4 out sooner than the DHF he had been running. We assumed due to the smaller center knob size. Side knobs held up well.
Both are fine tires, I am guessing the DHR2 will have center knobs that will last a bit longer than the HR2.
No matter, enjoy! Let us know how you like any pick.

I just ordered the LUST version of the 2.25" Ardent for the rear.
I have the standard EXO Ardent 2.4" up front setup tubeless.

I'll report back after some time in the saddle.

    thanks everyone.

I'm going to come from NN and HD and been thinking of jumping ship to Maxxis.

Ardent rear and HR2 in front. Is the difference between 60a and the 3c very noticeable especially in front? Because if 3C wears out quick even in front, I might just get the 60a for front use.
