    Alternative to Mavic Open Pro

I'm getting my hubs on my road/CX/commuter bike relaced with new rims, spokes and nipples. Current set up is White Industries front and rear ENO with Mavic Open Pro rims. The Open Pro's lasted about 2 years until the side wall blew out the other day. Can't really complain about the Open Pro's but was wondering what else is in this category that would hold up to mostly commuting year round in the PNW and a few CX races.
I only ride bikes to fill the time when I'm not skiing.

Blown sidewall is from the breaking track being worn too thin...not much you can do about. If your willing to spend the dough, the open pro comes in a ceramic brake track model. This should prolong the durability of the rim quite a bit (the sidewalls at least).

Yep, new the sidewalls were getting thin, but tried to eek out a little more life. I've got 28 hole hubs, and from what I've found on the Mavic web site, the Open Pros don't come in ceramic 28 hole.
