29er Stumpy - Arch's - Wanna help pick my rear tire?

So I just recently picked up my Arch's the other day and I decided to keep my stock wheels as a spare. So I'm gonna leave the renegades (not really a big fan of em) and pick up something new to run tubeless.

I decided on a Nobby Nic front tire.

The rear I still don't know. I here the Racing Ralph is good. Any other options?
My wish list is kinda hard to get all checked off. I'm a mostly XC rider, agressive. I want something that will roll fast, brake well and last a while. Oh yea as light as possible but I'm willing to sacrifice the weight for handling/durability.

What about Specialized 2013 line, I hear good things about the GC or Purg's. Maybe better then the Schwalbes?

Racing Ralph is good, or the Maxxis Ikon. make sure to get the Snakeskin RR, and the EXC or whatever it is on the Maxxis.

Are you in the UK? Sometimes, certain stuff on CRC is more expensive than if you bought it from some place here in the states.

I think I got mine from Treefort Bikes. And checking their site, I found this.

No, not in the UK. I'm in Canada.

This is CRC's price on that tire.
Maxxis Ikon XC 29er Folding Tyre - EXO | Buy Online | ChainReactionCycles.com
works out to be $72 CAD so your right, you did find it cheaper.
Only problem is I cant sign up on that site to order, cause I'm in Canada. Not sure I could order it.

For a rear tire, and if sticking with Specialized, I would opt for a Ground Control over a Purgatory (slower rolling IMHO). For me, the Ground Control ticks the boxes; reasonable weight, rolls well, above average traction/braking, good durability for tread and sidewalls, airs up easily tubeless (usually with a floor pump if I choose to use one).

On the Treefort link, scroll down to the Q&A under the tire. First question is from someone in Ontario, they say they can ship to you if you call them and order over the phone.

Or you can try direct from Pricepoint, as it's their price that Treefort is matching.

Thanks for your input. What would you use on the front, if using specialized?

Really having a tough time decided between spec tires or other combo's (NoNI on f/w Ikon r/w)

I like the new 2.3" Purgatory just fine for a front tire. I also like the WTB Wolverine up front. I'm not a big fan of prodigious knobs in most conditions on 29ers unless it deep and loose.
