Testing out a new contour camera, I tried to make the XC out here more exciting with a lot of fast cuts.
Normally this wouldn't be ridable like this, there should be way more snow out here so there were a few days where the temp was at or above freezing and Im glad I made it out.
What part of town is this? I visited WPG earlier this year with my spouse(she grew up in Westwood), and we rode a few small trails along the Assinaboine, but that was about it.
I think that's the sqiuare where the rivers meet around the 2 minute mark....
Good friction shifting is getting hard to find nowadays....
Most of that first vid and this second one, are around st boniface on the riverbed and in the park there. The stairs section is from the Forks at the river.
This one is with my buddy in front of the cam, it came out well. We had a few really nice days the last few weeks - and now its like -25c. Blah
Look for Whittier Park on the map that's the trail section with the fort in it.
You can sew together a surprisingly long ride by following either The Red, the Seine, or the Assiniboine. Don't try that in the spring unless it's been a really dry winter.
Nice clip, makes me want to get on a plane to ride there again.
Another Winnipeg rider here. I live in East St Paul, and I frequent Silver Spring Park Google Maps
From my house (near Henderson hwy) to the park and back takes about an hour by taking every back road/trail there is.
