South Canoe Trails - Salmon Arm B.C.

Boy is spring ever late this year! We are trying to organize a group ride for the long weekend and thought we would do an early season tour of the South Canoe trail system and maybe the Rubberhead as well. Anybody been out that way this year?

Was there the last two weekends.

The lower trails are good but the traverse is still covered in a lot of snow. Betting the upper Rubber head is still covered in snow but not sure.

Upper Rubber does have snow. Check also with Skookum who can tell you what has been cleared of blowdown

Thanks for the info and we will check with Skookum. We weren't planning to ride the whole traverse yet - even after a mild winter it is usually best to wait until late June for the first ride all the way to Sicamous IME.

We ended up staying on the South Canoe side (Salty Dog) rather than go as high as the Rubberhead. Trails were great. Lots of runoff but the trails were firm and fun. Lumpy's (below) was particularly good.
