A pickle: Stay in Whistler or move on??

    Yo guys...

In Whistler at the moment looking for work. Landing a job doesn't seem to be as straight-forward and easy as I had thought. Not sure whether to stick it out and hope something comes along or move on to another ski area like Big White, Fernie, Revelstoke or somewhere. It will be about a 10 hour bus journey to anywhere else good from here though, been on the greyhound bus website.

Any suggestions? Most places here don't seem to be hiring for another couple of weeks or so.

Some ski resorts in Canada use international agencies as a conduit for seasonal foreign workers. "Go International" is one agency that comes to mind, and you might be able to register with them online and get an immediate look at what's available at a number of Canadian ski resorts.

    The website is:

Screw the shuttle, I'm riding to the top. You're all worthless and weak!!!

Stayed here, got a job as a ski instructor. I'm kind of over the whole snow thing now though, dying to get out on the road bike .

    Over the snow??

Didn't you get out on your road bike last month? It was pretty warm in Squamish. Went climbing at the Bluffs in a T shirt in the middle of February!

I saw one or two roadies out around then, I thought there would still be quite a considerable chance you could hit a patch of black ice around a corner on the highway. It's happened to me before back In Ireland and about five of us in a group went down. Luckily it was on a quiet road, and there was a group of us. Can't wait to cycle down and around Pemby though!
