Well the new singletrack at Strathcona Science Park is the best in the city. It is dry enough to ride and it really needs riders to pack it down so get out there and ride it!
From the bridge go up until you get to the road with the fence on the far side. Look to your left and you'll see two large grass covered humps. The trail starts there, but keep your eyes open because it goes in and out of the woods and crosses the paths a number of times.
You'll probably have me hanging around a bit in the not too distant future too. I've picked up a few tricks, but I'm game to add a few more to my quiver. My Cake is no FR machine, but it is a 5x5, so it should be able to do a little
(d'oh....dontcha just hate it when you hit the wrong reply button... )
Good to hear. We will need some riders with some kind of skill, to help the beginners along.
I will be setting up a meeting on this coming sat at a starbucks. E-mail me if you want to drop in on it. bies18@hotmail.com
I admit... this freeride club is tempting, but I just pulled the trigger on a new garage this weekend... and really don't need an excuse to build another bike. I don't think anything in my stable is freeride friendly.
Then again... if I break something I'd have no choice but to upgrade...
D'oh....I can't make this Sat (I'm pretending to be in an accident so a bunch of first aiders can compete with each other)...but keep letting us know when you're getting together so I can meet up at some point
E-mail me for the web page that explains my idea of this club. It does not matter what kind of bike you have. Any bike you have will hold up 10x better then my body will, but I will still be out there practicing my drops. bies18@hotmail.com
