I got these cables long ago at Eurobike.I think it was in 2008.
They are extremely HEAVY. I should still have them somewhere in my basement. But from what i remember they weigh a "ton". I will have a look and post a pic if i can still find them.

Maybe because of their weight, they got this name :-)

Ok - while building my sons bike the other day i also had to look for new cables in my cable-box and voilą - here's the Yokozunas i had stored. All i remembered is that they were too heavy. I just took the time to re-weigh them and it seems i have still good memory

    Here's the details:
The set contains housings, wires and all sort of endcaps for shift AND brake. The brake-housing is much fatter in diameter and seems steel wounded. 2 pieces at about 90cm are included. The shift housing is regular "slim" diameter. They come in 5 or 6 individual segments.Rather short pieces so definitely not suited for bikes needing ongoing, continous housings.

    Weights:
    Shift housing: 33g/m
    Brake housing: 59g/m

Not worth to be mentioned in this forum. But anyway - me too i got attracted back then when walking through Eurobike in 2007 or 2008.

Great post - thanks for the info. Guess I'll be looking into other options then. Vertabrae housing seems interesting too, although really expensive. Any info on that? Perhaps I should open another thread to keep the relevant info into separate topics
