X post - What do you use for end plugs on CARBON bars?

I can't seem to find suitable bar end plugs that fit the smaller I.D. of carbon bars. I have shaved down standard plugs, but not very successfully. Also, I'd like to have some cushion since it can be pretty brutal in a crash.

Problem is I can't fit these, or any others I've tried, in the smaller ID of the carbon bar.

I use Specialized's bar end inserts on my carbon bar with bar ends. I had to take a Dremel sanding drum and very lightly sand away the irregular parts of the inner bar to get them to fit.

I have these on both Easton and FSA CF bars and the ID is identical / normal.

Might you have a bar with a built-up end area? Earlier AL bars used to have this when bar-ends were more popular so the bar wouldn't be crushed.

I use the locking ODI Rogue grips (which are fantastic) and they come with plugs that fit into the lock rings. They're high quality and they look nice. Maybe not a good answer if you have some grips you really love, though...

I have Ritchey WCS foam grips, and I just used the standard plastic plugs that came with them. They fit fine, and there's nothing lighter.
