What Length Seatpost: 280 or 340?

So I need 192.5mm of exposed seatpost. I am going with the moots straight laced seatpost. They have the 340mm version in stock, but do not have the 280 right now. I kind of need this post soon, should I just get the 340, even though I could save some weight with the 280? Im leaning towards getting the 340...anyone want to comment. thanks for any help.

Get the 340mm, you can always cut it down.

i don't know why you choose the Moots. i guess for the reason of looks and beauty...

but if you want a light post get the Heylight HS II in 280mm lenght:
mine with 31.6/280mm weighs just 132g!
