USE Alien / USE Alien Cyclops - Differences

    Hey Guys,

I was about to buy a USE Alien but came across another item called the USE Alien Cyclops. Can anyone tell me the differences?

Is it just that the cyclops uses 1 bolt in the clamp instead of two and if so, does this mean it is bigger and doesn't round out as easily?

    Is it the same weight?

Would this post be a better choice for MTB use?

Also, with either should I just buy it in 27.2 to fit my frame or do I have to buy 25.0 and get a shim. I'll be buying the alloy 7075 version.

    Thanks, John.

Correct, it uses one bigger bolt instead of two tiny ones.

Don't have any info on the other questions, sorry.

    not sure about shims

I have a 27.2 TT/Tri Cyclops on my road bike and there is no need for a shim as far as I know, I just turned the clamp around 180* as per instructions. I've not used the orginal but the Cyclops seems better with one larger bolt and once set up it doesn't move at all.
