Update: Spyder Saddle - seapost clamp or seat rails?

Look what happened to my new Tioga Spyder Twin Tail saddle:

    From Drop Box

I just got this and started a thread about it. You can read it here.

So that seatpost is new too. It's one of those KCNC Scandium Ti Lite seatposts with a somewhat questionable clamp.

So do you think it's the seapost clamp or the seat rail? Which should I replace? New saddle and hope for the best or new seatpost and new saddle and fuggedaboudit?

Those Forte Pro Seatposts look like they have a much more solid clamp.

In an effort for full disclosure, How much do you weigh and how do you ride? Full squish or hardtail?

Normal, depending on weight and riding style with a yokes seatpost, that's why I don't ride one.

Syntace P6 for the win! 55mm rail support!!!

EDIT: Yes, the one you posted looks better, or Easton EC90/70. Or then again Syntace P6.

Just use a Thomson lower craddle on the KCNC post.

Newnan - I'm 215 lbs. I ride a full suspension Stumpjumper FSR 29er over East Coast cross country. No drops or huck.

Dogdaysunrise - did you keep riding that post/saddle until it failed or did you stop immediately once you noticed the bending?

That first one is actually from another forum member and not mine.
    Sorry for the confusion.

    +1

It seems like alot of the bent seatposts and broken seats are on full squish bikes...

Its the post, almost every road or mtb I see with bent rails not from a crash had a post with yokes like that.

Almost the same setup as mine but my KCNC is the setback one with different clamp style. The Twintails are holding up just fine.
