    Ti doesn't last anywhere close to as long as steel. With the weight, cost, durability of a XX cassette there is no reason to choose Ti.

    Ti last plenty long enough for me.

    I've yet to wear out the Ti cogs on any XTR cassette I've owned, but I change chains on a regular basis to keep them from wearing the cassette or chainrings. Some of the Asian Ti cassettes use less material or aren't as well supported on the alloy carriers, and people have posted issues about reliability.
