sram front derailleur - part 2

I know the other thread got back on track, but there are so many off topic posts on there I figured I'd start a new one.

the old sram front derailleurs are still available from Cambria - they are hidden in the "hot deals" section.
    http://cambriabike.com/SALE/derailleurfrt/index.htm

there are only two listed on the ww site - a 5.0 at 112g and a 9.0 at 131g

nope, I've never used one. At the bottom of the other thread a few guys were saying they work quite well, so I figured I'd start a new thread.

It is definitely a good peice of hardware. I still have it in pristine condition, waiting untill I have a bike that is sized right.

I have no idea why SRAM stopped making them.
I hope they do launch the new series.

They work very well, I prefer them over Shimano. Currently running them on several bikes, with a generous stockpile in various sizes for future builds.

used a 9.0 for a while. doesn't work spectacularly, doesn't stink either. finickier than shimano to set up (in all honesty it looks pretty whimpy).
