    I know that Conti last year started producing limited runs of custom sidewall tires for its athletes. From what I know, that will be the case for 2009 and beyond.

    I expect that they only have to look good for one World Cup race at a time.

    Exactly. I know one of my team mates rode a pair of the gold sidewall tires at Offenburg World Cup for the pre-ride only.......then took them off.......and gave them to a fan standing around the team trailer.
