    Shave weight off mags

I was considering getting dangerboy brake levers because they look nicer than my stock hayes mag levers.

In stead I decided to use an angle grinder with a wire brush attachment to shave them down to silver. It saved about 1 gram per lever. It looked so cool I did the bolts, lever clamp and lock on clamps.

I doubt it will shave any weight, but the biggest improvement I made with my Mags were these levers. Comfort and braking power both improved.
My Mags are now more than 5 years old. (replacing the pivot bushings is a nice facelift also)
Floppy levers got you down? (xpost SS)

I had no problems installing them w/o any special tools.

I took the levers off the bike, and tapped them out. I replaced them with the more modern pivot bolt kit (which comes with new bushings).
