Selle San Marco Aspide with what post? Help

Hi everyone,

I recently got an Aspide saddle second hand in excellent condition but my truvativ post doesn't fit it well. The seat clamp is right under the carbon frame because the rails aren't very tall. Can anyone suggest a good post? Will a Thomson Elite work? That is what I had in mind. This is going on a Trek 8000 used only on flat singletrack.

I have one and I use a thomson post with it.

I use a Syntace with mine. It's nice.....

Have one currently on an USE Alien carbon. Also used it on a Thomson, Syntace, Extralite, and Giant OEM carbon roadie post.

used it w/ a thomson and and extralite. no problems

mines currently on the roadie with a Thomson post, like everyone else, and have used it with an old style clamp Easton EA70, no probs.
