Seat Post: Thompson to Hylix Weights

10 year Thompson was worn out. I am cheap. Went with a Hylix. The carbon to aluminum transition is very well done. No rides yet. Just weights.

    I ride a Chiner.

How was the 1st year of ride? ... any issue?
I am going to buy one in these days... I weight 83kg and will put on Scott Scale Pro for XC.
    Would you raccomend to me?
    Thanks!

My question was referred to Hylix, of course. (From e-bay at 50Euro)

No complaints and worth every penny. Thinking of buying their 680mm bar to match.

I'm trying to decide between an Easton EC70 and a Hylix. Both should run about the same weight (claimed) and I can get them for about the same price. Any input? Also wondering about the durability.

Would go with the EC70. Is it the same post with a better warranty and LBS support?

I'm also thinking of the EA70 seat post (2013 version) as it seems like a good middle ground for claimed weight vs cost.

Many LBS are Easton dealers and will have a rep to submit warranty claims. Most shops don't care where you bought it as long as you have receipts.
