I couldn't find assembled weights on the Santa Cruz site, but most of their example builds have ENVE M50 wheelsets shown which are really light for 29" wheels. They have likely only used the weight for the lightest possible build.

Just me, or is every pic a vomit-inducing upside-down/sideways?

If you imagine the top picture as the bike laying down on the ground (which is actually the wall ) then things get real trippy .

Wow! My al highball weighs in @ 21# last I checked. It was a frame up build. Xt drivetrain (1x10), hope/arch-ex wheels with 2.2 ikons, reba fork, no carbon anywhere.
Not sure where all the weight is in yours.

Are you sure they haven't filled the frame with mud without you knowing ?!!!

On a serious note your tyres are heavier than the Maxxis bvy about 300grams and like mentioned above the Enve being carbon will be significantly lighter so I'm guessing the wheelset is the issue here .

Sorry for the photos, i am new here and they uploaded that way,

on the bike side, the rims that go with the build on the santacruz website (Easton ARC 24) are almost as heavy as the ones that i have, and the tyres i don't think they weight as much as the 3 pounds that i don't know where they are going. i would try to replace the wheels to see if weight doses down but if someone has the same bike and can tell me the weight without the wheels it would be great. Thanks for the help

It would help if you provided a build list as it isn't easy to tell what all the bits are in the photos.

Where on the website does it show 21 lbs?
Your wheelset is around 2000g. That is at least a lb heavier than a carbon wheelset.
    Tires are heavier than Ikons.
I bet they weighed the bike w/o pedals. That is nearly another pound.

Had I to guess based on their top tier build, you're carrying extra weight here.

    Wheels/tires - 1-.1.5#
    Cranks - .5#
    Seat - .25#
