Anyone know what the average rear 142mm maxle weighs? Thanks in advance.

DT swiss 142 on my epic was 65 grams. I think the claimed is 70 grams. The syntace 142 was 40 grams and it's claimed is 39 grams.

The XTR M980 is 96g. Not sure if these are all interchangeable though...meaning, there is a 'Shimano' standard, 'SRAM' standard and a third I believe. I need to look for that Syntace to see what standard it is. Do you mind posting where it can be seen?

It looks like 'Syntace' is the 3rd standard. I say this meaning, not all bikes with 12x142 can use any 12x142 axle.
