OT: Is 198g light for a Carbon Road Bar?

Extralight has a Carbon Version coming next month or so. Don't really know Road Carbon Bar weights.

Or do I go with a FSA K-Force Light?

The FSA bars run at around 200g so I'd imagine which seems to be quite reasonable indeed. I see on WW that the EC90 composite bar comes in at 207g or so for a 42cm bar.

I personally would go the FSA bar over the Extralight, no doubt it costs less and is probably stiffer...

I see they are always available on ebay for a nice price.

    I have an EC90

I think mine weighed in at 195...I've been pleased with it for over a year. Shaved a whopping 80 grams from the X-tenos bar I had from the mid 90's. Plus it is much more comfortable with the dampening.

One thing to be aware of with the EC90, the extension of the hood reach is longer. I had to get a shorter stem to compensate for feeling further stretched out than a typical bend.

    good luck...

I was wanting a new set of light Carbon bars for my road bike but I took my 44 Ritchey WCS bars off and weighed them and they came in at 218 grams... can't really justify the money right now on the bars (for about 20 grams difference)..... I have other areas I can drop more weight cheaper....
