Maybe a stupid question regarding rigid forks

Anyone ever try a carbon 'cross fork on a rigid mtn bike build?

I have no intention of doing it (I like my mtn bike squishy), just wondered if it'd work, hypothetically speaking.

no idea....suppose you could, but i would not. if i would only be using the bike for VERY light XC perhaps. Having said that, there are such great choices for MTB carbon forks so I dont see the point nowadays. I have a carbon MTB fork and love it.

The A-C of a 'cross fork is way too short and tire width would be severely limited.

The trouble with common sense is it is no longer common
