Make more money selling whole bike, or part it out?

What's everyone's experience on making the most money by either selling the whole bike or parting it out?

You'll probably make more money by taking it all apart and selling it piece by piece but it will take longer and be a lot more work. Plus you won't be able to ride that bike in an emergency because you sold the stem or the seatpost, etc.

The tweakier and more exotic the build, the less value you get out of selling a complete bike. If you plan on selling a complete bike, you're better off putting the OEM parts and pieces back on and sell the weight weenie parts separately.

Parting it out and collecting little bits of cash (but probably more in the long run).
