    Lite expander for carbon steer tube ??

    I'm going to pull the trigger on a reba world cup (currently riding a team on my hardtail)

    and would like recommendations on a steer tube expander for the carbon steer tube,

    anyone using the extralite ultra star? what about the schmolke carbon Ahead plug , this

    goes in the top of the steer tube after the bearing is adjusted; Thanks

    Using an ultrastar, but in an alu steerer. No weight saving over a starnut, but I hate those things, so though I;d splurge with a new fork. Would imagine it would work fine in a carbon steerer if the wall thinkness is right - does the job for me.

    and what about the USE ring-go-star. It weighs 25 gr. with the top plastic cap but replaces 12 mm. of spacers... and works fine.
