    Light carbon flatbar 700+mm

Looking for a flat bar to my 29" build, at least 690-700mm wide and would like 5-7 degree sweep and light for a resonable price.

150-160gram? Is that possible without braking the bank.

    Light carbon flatbar 700+mm

See Titec sale at bike wagon in the "where's the best deals section". Flat tracker fits the bill on weight and width with a bit more sweep. If you are going wider you may want more sweep though. On my scale it weighs 164g. Prices have gone up but still reasonable.

what is the difference in the two niner carbon flat bars? 19 grams difference and $40. Does one ride better than the other?

Just went through this and was considering the Niner...but $200...got a Specy S-Works Prowess mini-riser for $125 that weighs in at 183. If you cut it down to your width you would be in the ballpark.

I just put a easton EC70 flat carbon bar on a closeout BMC TE29. Nice bar, very comfortable bend, 685 wide and 140 grams on my scale. I used one of BikeBling's 10% off deals which make it $90.

Best bang for the buck is the Easton EC70 Wide Carbon Flat. eBay has them now, for $75/shipped. The Taperwall technology means the clamp area is a burly 10mm thick, all-around....gently tapering to just 3mm, at the grips. Very stiff and mutes trail vibrations to a mere tremor. New, all-black ones weigh 127g, while the earlier, red/white graphics ones weigh about 139g.

I've had both Niner bars; FT9/FTRDO, Enve Composites Flat, Thomson Mountain Carbon, Ritchey Superlogic UD, Truvativ Noir T30, Specialized S-Works Prowess, Syntace Duraflite Carbon, Bontrager RXL Carbon and cannot tell any other difference....other than a lighter wallet.

I'm a bit confused. I see the EC70 listed as 685 and as 720. which one is it ?
are the older ones (with red decal ) 685 and the newer black ones 720 or is this incorrect

The widest Easton EC70 is 685mm, for the red decal one(2010-2012) and 720mm for the 2013 Stealth Black bar.
