    Without breaking the bank? Carbon vs Alloy? Hmmm...

    But my personal choice though i'd really go out on a limb or two, light for my application! I've already gotten the other one.

    I know, just saw off the extra 10mm! LOL!

    Still wanting to get the latter again for my new build! But this time around, with color scheme - silver, FTW!

    i run a Thomson Masterpiece. found out that for my saddle position i don't actually need a 400mm (not that close to minimum insertion) though i can't use a stupid light clamp as it is prone to slippage.

    this year i will be tuning that post with some parts i ordered from Smudek

    @rockyuphill

    i absolutely HATE single bolt saddle clamps. when those rotate on you in a race it can be very uncomfortable!

    I use a Syntace P6, 30.9 x 400 comes to 228,grams, not the lightest , but a real solid post, nice carbon look.

    Bontrager Race XXX Lite. Not rated for mtb but many people use them still. I believe they come in 0, 5, or 20mm offsets. They can be had for $75-90 new on craigslist and $100+- on eBay. Lighter than Edge/Enve and way cheaper, but definitely not as strong...

    this is a great seatpost but the OP was asking for offset/setback.

    allison used one of these for the past two years, excellent value IMO.
