    help finding lightweight brake cable

Besides Jagwire Ripcord is there anything else for good quality lightweight brake cable housing kit. Should I go with alligator I-link or Gatorbrake G4 sleek. Anything else? Or am I confusing the brand names I can't remember what they are? And how much money is an installation kit? I see anywhere from $27 to 65 dollars on eBay.

I tried to do a search but this just way too much info coming up about all sorts of other things that must of used those terms lightest brake cable housing.

I use i-link (gears not v-brake). Very impressed with the system as a whole.

thanks for the link rockyuphill, I may purchase that.

roaringboy, I wonder if you are referring to the I-link "shift" cable (for gears) aka mini I-link cable and using that for the v-brake?

So then, the alligator I link cable which cost more than the Gator brake G4 cable implies that the alligator I link is higher quality? Kind of like you get what you pay for?

yes essentially this is for a V-brake system.

Since you're in the WW forum:
    Mountain Brake Cordz System Classic

I personally found them difficult to work with (pinched at the clamp) and not worth the few grams, but maybe they're better now...?

Edit: looks like they have a new collar to protect the cable from the clamp. I haven't tried it so no idea if it works...
Power Cordz Grommet Clasps: New, Powerful Protection
    whatever...

No I mean I have i-links but for my gears - or gear to be precise as I only have rear. What I was getting at was that i-links are good quality and light.
