Try the Formula R1 rotor. Almost as light and they feel like normal rotors.

i run the alligator windcutters (160 F&R) on one bike and ashima airotors (180F 140R) on another bike, both with BB7's ... never had pulsing from either of them
I used to ride to Win ... Now I ride to Grin

While my guitar gently weeps, my bike sits there mocking me

    R1 rotor - 87g
    Windcutter - 94g

I've used Windcutters with XTR brakes for a year. Not amazingly powerful but no problems, pulsing, noise. The rear started shrieking so I swapped rotors front/rear. No change. I just bought the R1 rotor to try in back. Haven't mounted it yet though. I use 203mm R1 rotors on my DH bike and they work fine.

just to say: "i use rotor X and rotor Y and had no issues" ist completely worthless cause it depends always also on the used caliper and the used pads.

e.g. the ashima ultralight does a good job with my marta and performance pads. but with R1 and original pads i get horrible pulsing.
the alligator windcutter had in the marta less power, but in XTR caliper and shimano metall pads very good power .. and so on.

I have found that pulsing might occur when the pads are either too far in or too far out on the Windcutters. You might just try to put a 1mm shim under your adapter and might get rid of the pulsing.

With Windcutters you definitely need sintered pads. I had good results using EBC gold pads in the past.

160mm R1 rotors are about 4g lighter than the 160mm Windcutters but also cost a lot more.

I wised up and shytcanned the Alligators on my NRS with Magura Marta's. Pulsed up front badly and never did subside. Put the OEM Magura rotors on again and end of the trouble. Lightweight is fine until it hampers the ride quality. Then it goes in the trash.

That 140mm XX rotor is almost the same weight as a 160mm R1 rotor.

agreed...and while you are at it please also take a picture of your discs so we can see how your pads line up.
