hello
have replaced G armin crank arm cadence magnets with K&J D42B-N52 black nickel neodymium disc magnets - working great with drop of s uperglue to hold them inplace
How do you attach the K&J magnets to the spokes? I doubt that the strength of the magnet would keep it in place, especially off road. (I'm thinking I might just learn something here)
hello
sorry for slow reply (don't visit here often now) ok
#1. clean area with alcohol & lint free rag
#2. for cadence magnet on crank arm, a small blob of clear silicone sealant (bathroom tiling & a quariums) just slightly larger than the magnet & wipe away any excess or if your pedal axels are steel the magnet should stay in place
#3. bladed spokes, a small blob of s uperglue gel, you might need to mark the location for the magnet with highlighter (or it can get messy!) i use the mrs's silver pen normally used for xmas & birthday cards
#4. round spokes, i mostly use a small blob of clear silicone sealant & wipe away any excess with a lint free rag, if the magnet is wobbly after the silicone has set (approx 40 mins) - a tiny amount of s uperglue gel will help
tip: wear gloves to prevent silicone allergy & apply the small blob of silicone with a old chop stick (for example) - less messy
Carbonice magnet on Sapim Superspokes
hope that's of help
best
alex
