Eh, another Morati? If spending that much you might as well get some powerarm pros or something nice like that.

I have seen a few sets. Pics of prototypes and even one shot of one at eurobike. I guess they are hard to find, but its possible.

... and if we just ... why crying?

lightweight product are more breakable, plus a warranty program exist, especially in the USA from what I have read in that forum or else.
but why don't you have it fixed? it appear easy to weld so it will be stronger and break free in future.
what I don't really get is why wasting time crying instead of finding a solution to a problem. showing your broken product the way you do is percieved to me like a child dealing with a broken toy and crying mummy.
simply either contact the company and if they don't fulfill their warranty program, find a ti welder and have it fix and ride again your ti crank.
you should have get a MORATI, they don't break, mine at least...so far.

Didier, you reckon this can be welded back? My left Morati snapped in a similar way (that's how I bought it) but at the other end of the arm.

I'll do a search for ti welders in the uk ...

    Thanks

    WHOAH! they do exist

seriously how many times on the old board would some newbie pop up and ask about these lol!

damn, I really can't believe someone was riding these at some point. I think it's a disgruntled employee, hahaha

    Ya, Morati's don't break...Here's mine (I weigh 135lbs):

When I snapped my Moratis a couple years ago, my warranty consisted of a full money-back refund from the Canadian Distributor (Tufo)...that was perfect for me!

Since Morati no longer makes cranks, they cannot offer a free replacement. At any rate, I'm only 135lbs and if I snapped my pair, I wouldn't take the replacement anyway.

I've been very happy with the FSA Carbon Pros I replaced the Moratis with.

Personally, I appreciate that uno-speedo posted that pic of the broken Flys....not that I would ever go with a set, even before seeing this pic, so I'm not sure why you are complaining. We are all weight-weenies, but I'm sure most of us would rather not cross the line between light and stupid-light. Just my opinion.

You're lucky Mike, my warranty ran out. All I get is free team jearsey and short. I wonder what would of happen if I sent them a hospital bill? Not that I was injured or anything.

    Grey Titanium Crankset

now I'm serious here. I've got a meeting with the ingeneer tomorrow about making a GREY TITANIUM CRANKSET, but more so like the MORATI in 3-2,5.
the goal is under 350 gr and it shouldn't break. we feel that there is a market for, a small one though. No idea about pricing, we might go for the square BB, since I don't like too much the ISIS due to bearing size that don't make sense and hardly last. I don't like the "à la XTR BB set", to my opinion it does give you a widder chainline, yet it is more rigid for sure, or else may be the new TUNE BB witch has 6 sides and is extremely lightweight. we'll see. didier
