    Extralite Ultralevers 64g

i just got some Extralite parts. look at those levers!
they are just awesome. every detail is thought out. there is even a tiny return spring and reach adjustement. i will report on how they perform as soon as they are on my bike - tonight
my wife can't understand my excitement though. but that's no different when she comes home with a new pair of shoes

Awesome. It's great to finally see them in real life. Can't fault them except for the price but then they're Extralite by name and by reputation.
If in doubt - pedal harder!!!

    Wow, trs trs jolis.

It looks like someone went dremel-crazy at some Onza "Box" levers - the handle looks pretty wide, must be comfy.

I bet your test ride is gonna be very slow nino (lots of breaking ;-).

    they work PERFECT!

i just couldn't resist and installed the levers right away. my foam grips got destroyed when i pulled them off but anyway - the first pull on those levers already showed a definite brakepoint ! in one word - these babies are PERFECT.

when squeezing on Kookas or Steinbachs it always felt like a wet noodle. these are really performing great. no flex. as said, perfect!

what i did note is that the levers are pretty close to the handlebar even in the farthest position. i already re.positioned the levers behind the shifterpods. the FRM always have been in front of them.

installed but no grips yet...sorry! i just couldn't wait...

and here they are in the changed position. as said the levers are pretty close to the handlebar so i moved them behind the shifterpods.

    Question for Nino

    Hi Nino,

I noticed that you have that gorgeous Extralite top cap on your Sid WC.

I also have a Sid WC; however, the mechanic at my lbs told me that I have to use the standard ugly top cap that came with the shock (the plain one with a small rubber cap that covers the bolt).

What modifications did you do (if any)?

    Thanks Very Much.

you mean on top of the legs? my SIDs are some modified worldcups from 2002 with internals (and top caps) from the 2001 SID Race.

Yippee! I missed out the original batch of Vueltas so like I asked of you Nino in a private mail some months ago - when you get 'em, I'll buy a complete set from you...

...and Extralite UltraLevers look very nice too, they would completement nicely my bike's cockpit that's already fitted with Extralite bar, bar ends & grips...

    Discorama...

Will these work with Avid Mechanicals? I have older Avid speed dials with the removable clamps and Ti bolts. Too bad they don't make em like that anymore...
