Ergon GP1 Leichtbau Grips slipping on carbon handlebar

anyone had this problem. one of my grips continues to slip over the course of a ride. should I try using some of the carbon paste?

i didn't know where to post this so I figured this would be the best place since these are WW parts.

put a some hair spray on the bar before you install the grip as well..

are you using a good torque wrench to tighten to the correct amount?

    Use golf grip tape.
You won't even need the screws anymore.

I would put a little carbon assembly compound on the bar and then use a torque wrench to make sure you have proper torque spec. Did you trim your bars down at all?

This is an issue with a select few carbon bars. Please read this blog post we did a few months back.

Yea, my Ergons slip like crazy on my Syntace bars (GX2 LB grips). I put some assembly paste on there and it helped a bit. Mine still slip from time to time, despite having them torqued a bit higher than Ergon specs, in an attempt to prevent the slipping.

Pay close attention that the gold ring is installed properly. This is super important. GX2 slipping issues have not been reported...and those that have usually result from a gold ring that is not installed 100% correctly. Double check to make sure.

Sanded the end of the bars, still slipping. Guess I'm gonna have to try hairspray or the paste.

    Carbon assembly paste for sure.
It should be on all points of carbon contact, including your stem.
