    Carbon derailleur plates

Has anyone been using a Fibre-Lyte mech plate? Just wondering if they are a strong and worthwhile replacement? Thanks.

On my Sachs Quartz (http://forums.mtbr.com/showthread.ph...5681#post75681 ) the back plate is 5 grams, I could build a fragile version estimated at 2 grams using nomex .. but ... you see the problem the back plates you mantioned are in solid carbon fiber plate and they will be heavier (than nomex) but of similar strength as the original.
