    Carbon bars raceface next sl's

I just got these a few weeks ago in 25.4 size and I've changed them between bikes a few times and already I can see marks where I've tightened the grips. They're just slight marks from my ergon GX2 grips but it's playing on my mind. How do you guys deal with marking your bars and how much damage can carbon bars take? The Raceface next sl's seem quite strong compared to my old Eastons which were thin.

If it's just in the clearcoat then it won't affect the structure. The clearcoat on the RF bars is mostly decorative to keep the decals from falling off.

The clearcoat on my Next SL's seem to be quick thick. I've had no marring or making of any sort on my bars. You mention that the bars seem strong.. I must say they are. I've been running a pair on my slalom/4x/DJ bike for over a year and had no problems.
