    Canyon Spectral Frame Actual Weight

Carbon, 1900g. Aluminum, 2500g. That seems super light for a 140mm travel bike. Can anyone confirm these weights?

That seems way too light unless they are listing a small frame without shock. I searched but couldn't find any listed weights, where did you see those weights?

Those weights are taken from their website if you just look at the frame spec. Even without shock or axle that's very light. My aluminum XL frame just arrived and with shock, axle, and headset it's 3.2Kg on the bathroom scale. Subract 230g for the shock, 110g for the headset, and 60g for the axle, that puts it at 2.8Kg/6.2lbs for the XL frame alone. 300g Difference between XL and small frame? That seems reasonable to me so I guess those claimed weights are legit. Other bikes I was looking at (all aluminum):

Intense Spider - 7.6 pounds medium frame naked
Devinci Troy - 8.07 pounds complete frameset
Transition Scout - 7.3 pounds large frame with shock
5010 - frame alone not sure but complete bikes are 30.3 to 32.1 pounds

The Spectral wins by a landslide.

On the flip side, there have been many, many reports of cracked aluminium Spectral frames, at least at Sweden's primary MTB forum. They seem to be pretty fragile.

Yeah, just knocking on the downtube doesn't give me the "built like a tank" feeling. Time will tell...
