Cannodale Teramo helmet and Garneau X-Lite weights

I always have to preface my WW posts with "my camera sucks and the scale readout is too small to capture" because negative rep seems to come my way if I don't. Having said that....

The Louis Garneau X-Lite in a large weighs 230 grams
The Cannondale Teramo in a large/x large is 295 grams

The Teramo has substantially more padding and coverage. Both helmets fit my head perfectly; obviously in a helmet or shoe function beats form.

My local Performance Bike was blowing out the X-Lite for about $70 (msrp is $170) and the Teramo was $87 delivered from Arts Cyclery with a coupon. The local Specialized dealer (also Cdale, Trek, Fisher, etc) turned me toward the Teramo saying it weighed less than the Specialized S-Works and costs about 1/4. I've never weighed a large S-Works, but the fit was not good for my noggin.

I love it.
